My dresses are very reasonably priced, for dresses that are cut on the body. I don't care about money. I really don't care. I just want to do what I do. I get ideas about what's essential when packing my suitcase. I believe in comfort. If you don't feel comfortable in your clothes, it's hard to think of anything else. Fashion is made to become unfashionable.
Those fashion designers are just crazy; but aren't we all? Sometimes the simplest things are the most profound. It's a philosophy of life. A practice. If you do this, something will change, what will change is that you will change, your life will change, and if you can change you, you can perhaps change the world. I have my permanent muses and my muses of the moment. I truly believe that philanthropy and commerce can work together.
Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it. We must never confuse elegance with snobbery. I want to thank all the women who have worn my clothes, the famous and the unknown, who have been so faithful to me and given me so much joy. Fashion never stops. There is always the new project, the new opportunity. I think it's an old fashioned notion that fashion needs to be exclusive to be fashionable.

I've always thought of the T-shirt as the Alpha and Omega of the fashion alphabet. Age and size are only numbers. It's the attitude you bring to clothes that make the difference.
